MUSTARD SEED クリスチャン教会は京都にあるクリスチャン教会で、バイリンガルで礼拝をしています。イエスは私たちの全てです。イエスよりも優れたものはありません。イエスは豊かないのちを与えられます。私たちの教会は、イエスを知ることができる安全でカジュアルなグループです。
Mustard Seed Christian Church is a bilingual Christian church in Kyoto. For us, it's all about Jesus! We believe there is nothing better than Jesus. Jesus gives full and abundant life. Our church is a casual, safe environment where people can get to know Jesus.

MUSTARD SEED クリスチャン教会京都は2017年12月に始まりました。MUSTARD SEED ネットワークでは、名古屋、大阪、神戸、東京、仙台、広島、横浜にも教会があります。
Mustard Seed Christian Church - Kyoto began in December 2017. We are a part of Mustard Seed Network with churches in Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe, Tokyo, Sendai, Hiroshima, and Yokohama.

We are a evangelical Protestant Christian church. We believe the orthodox teachings of Christianity.

神様 God

私たちは、すべての創造主であり(創世記1:1) 、聖なる方であり(イザヤ6:1-3)、永遠に三位一体(父なる神 [第一ペテロ1:2]、御子[ヨハネ20:28]、聖霊 [使徒5:3-4])である唯一の神を信じます(第一テモテ2:5)。

We believe in one God (1 Timothy 2:5), creator of all things (Genesis 1:1), holy (Isaiah 6:1-3), and eternally existing in three persons: Father (1 Peter 1:2), Son (John 20:28), and Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3-4).

イエス Jesus

私たちは、イエス・キリストが、被造物ではない、永遠の昔から存在しておられる(コロサイ1:16-17) 神のひとり子であることを信じます(ヨハネ1:1,14, 3:16; ヘブル1:8, 10)。私たちは、この方が、受肉において、聖霊により宿り、処女マリアよりお生まれになった(ルカ1:34-35)、まことの神であり、まことの人なる方であり(ガラテヤ4:4-5)、聖書のみことば通りに、完璧な生涯を送り、私たちの罪のために完全かつ最終的な捧げ物として十字架の上で死なれた方であると(第一コリント15:3; ヘブル4:15; 10:11-14)、さらには死からよみがえり(第一コリント15:4; ルカ24:36-43) 、天に昇り(使徒1:9)、全能の父なる神の右に座しておられる方であると信じます(ヘブル1:3)。

We believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God (John 1:1, 14; 3:16; Hebrews 1:8, 10) who is not created but has existed from eternity (Colossians 1:16-17). In the Incarnation, he was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary (Luke 1:34-35) as truly human and truly God (Galatians 4:4-5). He lived a perfect life and died on the cross as a perfect and complete sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3; Hebrews 4:15; 10:11-14). Further, he rose bodily from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:4; Luke 24:36-43) and ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9), where he sits at the right hand of God the Father (Hebrews 1:3).

聖霊 Holy Spirit

私たちは、聖霊なる神が、永遠の昔から永遠の未来に至るまで、父なる神、子なる神との完全な一致の内に存在される方であることを信じます(詩篇139:7; マタイ28:19; ヨハネ15:26; 第一ヨハネ4:8, 12-13)。私たちは、この方が、世に罪を認めさせ(ヨハネ16:8) 、罪人を新生させ(ヨハネ3:5; テトス3:5)、全てのキリスト者のうちに住まわれる (ヨハネ7:39; 14:17; ローマ8:9-11)方であることを信じます。この方はキリスト者のうちに住まわれることで、キリスト者を神の子供とみなし(ガラテヤ4:6)、敬虔に生き、仕えるための力を与え(ローマ8:13; ガラテヤ5:16-23; 第一コリント12:7; 第二コリント3:6)、永遠の希望を保証される(第二コリント 1:21-22, 5:5: エペソ1:13-14)方であると信じます。

We believe the Holy Spirit exists eternally in perfect union with God the Father and God the Son (Psalm 139:7; Matthew 28:19; John 15:26; 1 John 4:8, 12-13). He convicts the world of sin (John 16:8), regenerates the sinner (John 3:5; Titus 3:5) and indwells the believer (John 7:39; 14:17; Romans 8:9-11). Through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit he identifies the believer as God’s child, (Galatians 4:6), empowers the believer for godly living (Romans 8:13; Galatians 5:16-23) and service (1 Corinthians 12:7; 2 Corinthians 3:6), and guarantees the believer’s eternal hope (2 Corinthians 1:21-22, 5:5; Ephesians 1:13-14).

私たちは、聖書が旧新約ともに(マタイ22:43; 使徒1:6, 4:25, 28:25-27; ヘブル3:7; 第一ペテロ1:11-12; 第一テモテ5:18; 第二ペテロ3:15-16)、原典においてに誤りのない(詩篇19:7-9; ヨハネ 10:35; テトス1:2)、神の霊感を受けた神のみことばであり(第二テモテ 3:16)、人類の救いという神のみこころの完全なる啓示(申命記 13:1-5, 18:20-22, 29:29; 第二テモテ3:15)、すべてのキリスト者の信仰とその人生に対して、神聖かつ最終的な権威を持つものであると信じます(申命記 4:2; 箴言 30:5-6; マタイ5:17-19; 黙示録 22:18-19;第二テモテ3:16-17)。

We believe the scriptures, both Old (Matthew 22:43; Acts 1:6, 4:25, 28:25-27; Hebrews 3:7; 1 Peter 1:11-12) and New Testaments (1 Timothy 5:18; 2 Peter 3:15-16), to be the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16) without error in the original writings (Psalm 19:7-9; John 10:35; Titus 1:2), the complete revelation of his will for the salvation of men (Deuteronomy 13:1-5, 18:20-22, 29:29; 2 Timothy 3:15), and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life (Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs 30:5-6; Matthew 5:17-19; Revelation 22:18-19; 2 Timothy 3:16-17).

人間と罪
Humanity and Sin

私たちは、すべての人間が神のかたちに造られていると信じます(創世記 1:26-28; ヤコブ3:9)。しかしながら、罪の結果として(創世記 3; ローマ5:12; 第一コリント15:21-22)、新生される以前の状態では神に背いており(ローマ 3:9-20, 8:8; エペソ2:1-3)、永遠の刑罰に定められています(マタイ25:46; ヨハネ3:18; ローマ8:1; 第二テサロニケ 1:5-10)。

We believe that all humanity is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-28; James 3:9). However, as a result of sin (Genesis 3; Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 15:21-22), all unregenerate humanity is now in rebellion against God (Romans 3:9-20, 8:8; Ephesians 2:1-3) and under eternal condemnation (Matthew 25:46; John 3:18; Romans 8:1; 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10).

救い Salvation

私たちは、救いは、恵みのゆえに、キリストへの信仰によってのみもたらされ(ヨハネ14:6; 使徒4:10-12, 15:11; ローマ4:5; ガラテヤ2:16; エペソ2:8-9)、イエスキリストの完全な従順と身代わりの死と復活のみが、信じる者すべての義認と聖化、栄化の根拠となること(ローマ3:21-26, 4:22-25; 第二コリント5:21)、そして、信じる者はすべて神の子とされることを信じます(使徒4:12; ローマ3:21-26, 5:15–19, 8:15–17; エペソ2:8-9)。

We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone (Acts 15:11; Romans 4:5; Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8-9) in Christ alone (John 14:6; Acts 4:10-12). The perfect obedience and sacrificial death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification, sanctification, and glorification for all who believe (Romans 3:21-26, 4:22-25, 2 Corinthians 5:21), and those who believe become the children of God (Romans 8:15-17; Galatians 4:4-7; 1 Peter 3:18; Revelation 21:1-7).

Return of Christ

私たちは、キリストご自身が肉体を伴い(ヨハネ14:3; 使徒1:11; 第一テサロニケ4:16)、栄光に満ちて(マタイ16:27, 24:30, 25:31)再び戻って来られること、そしてその再臨が信じる者の日々の歩みと奉仕に欠かせないことを信じます(マタイ16:24-28; マルコ8:34-38; 第一ヨハネ3:2-3)。

We believe in the personal, bodily (John 14:3; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16), and glorious (Matthew 16:27, 24:30, 25:31) return of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that Christ’s return has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer (Matthew 16:24-28; Mark 8:34-38; 1 John 3:2-3).

Resurrection
and Eternal States

私たちは、死者が肉体を伴って復活すること(第一コリント15:35-49)、そして、イエスが生きている者と死んだ者をさばかれること(マタイ25:31−33;第一テモテへ4:1)を信じます。さばきにおいて、主は、信じる者を主ご自身と過ごす永遠の祝福と喜びに(マタイ25:14−23, 34; 第一テサロニケ 4:13-18)、信じない者を永遠の刑罰と永遠の滅びに(マタイ25:46; 第二テサロニケ1:5-10)定められます。

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead (1 Corinthians 15:35-49) and that Jesus will judge the living and the dead (Matthew 25:31-33; 2 Timothy 4:1): of the believer to everlasting blessedness (Matthew 25:34) and joy (Matthew 25:14-23) with their Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18), and the unbeliever to eternal punishment (Matthew 25:46) and eternal destruction (2 Thessalonians 1:5-10).

教会 Church

私たちは、真の教会は (第二テモテ2:19)、イエスキリストを救い主として信じ (使徒 16:30-31; エペソ1:13)、聖霊によって新生され (ヨハネ3:5-6; テトス3:4-7)、イエスがかしらであるキリストのからだに連なっているすべての人々によって形成されると信じます(第一コリント12:12-13; エペソ4:15-16)。

私たちは、地域教会は、普遍的教会の地上における目に見える表れである(使徒9:31; ローマ16:5; 第一コリント 16:19)と信じます。地域教会は真の福音を宣べ伝え、バプテスマと主の晩餐の礼典を執行します(マタイ 28:18-20; 使徒2:37-38; ローマ6:3-4; 第一コリント2:1-5, 15:1-8, 11:17-34; ガラテヤ3:27; 第一テモテ4:16; 第二テモテ1:13-14)。

We believe that the true Church (2 Timothy 2:19) is composed of all such persons who have saving faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 16:30-31; Ephesians 1:13) and have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit (John 3:5-6; Titus 3:4-7) and are united in the body of Christ of which he is the head (1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 4:15-16).

We believe local churches are the visible and earthly expression of the universal church (Acts 9:31; Romans 16:5; 1 Corinthians 16:19). Local churches proclaim the true gospel message and administer the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:37-38; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Corinthians 2:1-5, 15:1-8, 11:17-34; Galatians 3:27; 1 Timothy 4:16; 2 Timothy 1:13-14).

吉枝森 - 牧師
Shin Yoshieda - Pastor

出身は名古屋です。カナダの MOUNT ALLISON 大学を卒業し、大学院進学で京都に来ました。その時にマスタードシードクリスチャン教会-京都が開拓され、開拓当初から関わりました。2019年に京都大学経済学研究科修士課程を終了して教会で働き始め、その後、アメリカのウェストミンスター神学校で神学の修士号を修了しました。
Shin is from Nagoya. After completing his undergraduate at Mount Allison University in Canada, Shin moved to Kyoto to continue his education. He was a part of the initial launch of Mustard Seed Christian Church - Kyoto. In 2019, Shin joined the Mustard Seed Christian Church - Kyoto staff and also finished his Master’s degree in Economics from Kyoto University. Shin graduated from Westminster Theological Seminary (MATS).

ヒンキ・ジャレド - 副牧師
Jared Henke - Associate Pastor

ジャレドと妻ステファニーは2009年に日本に来ました。名古屋に8年間いてから京都へ引っ越して来ました。アメリカのイリノイ州の出身です。2009年にOZARK CHRISTIAN COLLEGE（キリスト教大学）を卒業しました。子どもは4人います。
Jared and his wife Stephanie have lived in Japan since 2009. After 8 years in Nagoya they moved to Kyoto. Jared is from Illinois and graduated from Ozark Christian College. Jared and Stephanie have four children.

下村・ベンジャミン - スタッフ
Benjamin Shimomura - Minister

ベンは2013年に日本に来ました。初めは長野にいて、大阪に移り、今は京都に住んでいます。日系アメリカ人で、出身はニュージャージー州です。2019年から教会のスタッフになりました。2023年にジュリアと結婚しました。

Ben has lived in Japan since 2013 — first Nagano, then Osaka, and now Kyoto. He is from New Jersey, and is of partial Japanese descent. He has been on staff since 2019. He has been married to Julia since 2023.

Julia Shimomura - Minister

ジュリアはアメリカのカリフォルニアで生まれ育ち、2018年から大阪でALTとして働き始めました。その後、アメリカに一度帰国した後、2022年にマスタードシードネットワークで仕えるために日本に帰ってきました。MSCC東京で働いた後、MSCC広島の教会開拓に携わりました。2023年にベンと結婚してMSCC京都のスタッフとして仕えはじめました。

Born and raised in California, Julia worked as an ALT in Osaka in 2018, returned to the United States for a time, and came back to Japan in 2022 to serve with Mustard Seed Network. She briefly worked at MSCC Tokyo, then helped plant MSCC Hiroshima. In 2023, she married Ben and joined the MSCC Kyoto staff.
