2000年前にイエスは十字架の死と復活を通して私たちの救いの源となりました。そして、イエスはいつかこの世界にまた戻って来て、世界を神のデザイン通りの場所に新しくすると約束しています。けれどその間の期間である「いま」イエスは何をしているのでしょうか？天のソファーに座って、のんびり地上を眺めているのでしょうか？そうではありません。イエスは今も私達のために、そして私達を通して働いています。それを知るときに、イエスが天にいることはクリスチャンに力と希望を与える喜びとなります。このシリーズでは、イエスが今も王・大祭司・預言者として私たちのために、そして私たちを通して働いていることを聖書から見ていきます。

Jesus became the source of our salvation two thousand years ago through his death and resurrection. He also promised that one day, He will return to this world and renew it according to God’s intended design.But in the meantime—right now—what is Jesus doing? Is He sitting on a heavenly couch, leisurely gazing down on the earth? No—even now, Jesus is at work, both for us and through us. When we understand this, the fact that Jesus is in heaven becomes a source of joy for Christians, giving us strength and hope.In this series, we will explore what the Bible says about how Jesus continues to work as our King, High Priest, and Prophet—both for us and through us.
