神様は今年のクリスマスに私たちにどんなプレゼントを用意してくれているでしょうか。神様のプレゼントはどんなにたくさんお金を出しても、どんなに一年を良い子で過ごしていてもそれでもらえるものではありません。けれど、神様が喜んで私たちにくれるものです。そのプレゼントとは、神様ご自身との羊と羊飼いのような関係です。神様が私たちの羊飼いとして、ストレスや不安だらけの毎日から、私たちを安心と喜びの人生に導いてくれるのです。今年のクリスマスは、詩篇の23篇を通して、私たちを優しく力強く導いてくださる羊飼いに出会いましょう。

What kind of gift is God preparing for us this Christmas? God’s gift is not something we can receive by spending a lot of money or by trying to be a “good person” all year long. Instead, it is a gift that God gladly gives to us. And that gift is a relationship with God Himself—like a sheep with its shepherd. God, as our shepherd, leads us out of our daily stress and anxieties and guides us into a life of peace and joy. This Christmas, through Psalm 23, let us encounter the Shepherd who gently and powerfully leads us.
