小さな私たちは神様の前でどのような存在なのでしょうか？この世界で、一人のクリスチャン、一つの教会の集まりは小さな存在です。しかし、エペソ人への手紙は、そんな小さな私たちに、三位一体の神がキリストにあって与えてくれている大きな祝福を宣言して始まります。この祝福をパウロは「天上にあるすべての霊的祝福」と呼んでいます。私たちがどんな祝福を受けているのかを具体的に知るときに、神の栄光をほめたたえられずにはいられません。

What are mere humans to God? In this world, an individual Christian or a single church gathering are rather small parts. However, the Letter to the Ephesians begins by declaring the great blessings that the triune God has given in Christ to such small beings as us. Paul describes this as “every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.” When we come to a real understanding of the blessings we have received, we can’t help but praise the glory of God!
